Golf, golf, golf...photography, poker...
Strange from an early age. I have always just done what feels natural when it comes to creating anything. Most of the time it just comes to me and seems obvious as I work on the project. I tend to be an observer of the way things work and have a healthy thirst for knowledge of the inner workings.
I took all the art courses I could in highschool and ended up teaching some of the senior computer design classes when the art department got their first PCs with windows 3.1 and Coreldraw3.
In college I tutored in CorelDraw and Adobe Illustrator.
After college I dove right into the world of computer graphics at fleetimageinc.com. As the main designer at a fast paced Commercial Vehicle Graphics manufacturer I honed my skills and processes by working directly with the customers to create almost anything they wanted. When I started, the industry was still just starting to make the transition from hand painted lettering to computer cut vinyl. I the early days I did plenty of air brushing to give fades and definition to the solid color vinyl graphics. As time went by, Digital Printers came onto the scene and improved at a rapid pace. Today, most graphics of any complexity are printed laminated and cut out of large white rolls of material with lifespans of 7-10 years or more.
After over 15 years in the Vehicle Graphics industry I have made a change and taken a job as a web developer/part designer. I still use all the design skills I have learned but I now have the added challenges of maintaining a web presence and assimilating 2 new design programs (Solidworks, autocad) into my brain.
Photography is something that just happens for me. The advent of digital cameras that don't require film has transformed the game entirely. The ability to take thousands of photos on a single memory card makes finding that perfect shot easier than ever before. Trial and error used to cost rolls of film that most people just didn't have, but now you can shoot till the batteries wear out. I love taking lots of shots with different angles and lenses and seeing what turns out. With an eye for framing and composition there are invariably a few gems on the card.

Vector files are like design blue prints, they can be used for so many thing. A simple logo, setup in a vector format can be made infinitely large or small. The same lines can be converted into shapes that machines can read...vinyl cutters, printers, laser/plasma cutters, embroiderers, routers, sandblasters, etchers etc... This amazing flexibility makes a clean, accurate, precise copy of your design essential.
I can setup files for many different formats depending on your needs. I can create files from scratch or work from existing samples or photos. I produce finished layered vector artwork to any specifications you have.
